Bono, lead singer of U2 and a life long activist in the fight against extreme poverty in Africa, received the Peace Summit Award 2008, in Paris on December 12th, during the IX Summit of Nobel Peace Prizewinners entitled "Human rights: a world without a violence"

 Prince Albert and Hendrikka Waage The Better World Awards 2008 in Monaco Hendrikka auctioned a 18ct diamond ring that was donated to The White Feather Foundation - Julian Lennon's Foundation wherein proceeds are donated to The Amazon conservation team.

Hendrikka Waage the Icelandic jewellery designer has been
commissioned by Dorrit Moussaieff to design exclusive
pieces of fine jewellery
for her using unique and rare
green diamonds set in 18ct gold.
Hendrikka says 'I am very
honoured to have been asked to create these pieces by someone as well respected
as Dorrit and my aim is to craft jewellery
that is both striking and glamorous'.
